Genesis Community Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation committed to building a fairer, more inclusive, and sustainable world. We exist to empower individuals and communities through education, poverty alleviation, social inclusion, capacity building, and environmental sustainability.

Rooted in the values of collaboration and compassion, we design and deliver innovative programmes that break down barriers and open doors to opportunity. Whether through skills training, food security projects, youth development, or advocacy, we focus on creating long-term impact and lasting change.

Our History

2009 to 2018

Social Impact Activities

  • 2009 – Present – Organised and continue to lead group counselling sessions

  • 2015 – Fundraised for a water tank for an orphanage in Accra

  • 2016 – 2018 – Volunteered with crisis support services

2019 – 2020

Remote Support & Emergency Aid Response

Adapted group counselling sessions to an online platform, ensuring continued emotional support during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. In parallel, organised the delivery of emergency food and hygiene parcels to vulnerable households affected by lockdowns and economic hardship.

2021

Christmas Lunch for the Elderly and Vulnerable

Organised a festive lunch for elderly and isolated individuals to reduce loneliness and social isolation in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, fostering community connection and emotional support.

2022

Christmas Partnership with Living Truth CIC – Wandsworth

Collaborated with Living Truth CIC and Wandsworth Council to deliver meals, care packages, and community events that brought holiday cheer to families and individuals in need.

2023

150 Christmas Packages – South London Boroughs

Coordinated the delivery of 150 Christmas care packages across Lambeth, Croydon, Wandsworth, and Merton, including food, warm clothing, and thoughtful gifts for those facing hardship.

2024

LWP Community Food Sharing

Launched a local food-sharing initiative through LWP, focused on redistributing surplus groceries and prepared meals to support families experiencing food insecurity.

2025

Fundraising & Cultural Inclusion Projects

  • Orphanage and Community Hall Support: Raised funds for essential food, clothing, and the future development of a community hall to support an orphanage.

  • Beyoncé Tickets for the Vulnerable: Organised and distributed concert tickets to Beyoncé's show for individuals from marginalised communities, offering access to cultural experiences and moments of joy.
